I really hate finishing guitars. Especially Yellow Fluorescent Guitars
While putting a coat on yesterday I must have gotten a little heavy and got a nice sag right in the front of the guitar... well to make matters worse the sag turned orange....then since it is Monday everything went to crap.
I sanded the sag out with 400 grit but the orange color wouldn't go away so I cut through. Well turns out the complete topcoat has an orange tint to it... I guess bleed through from the fluorescent underneath. So the cut through edges won't feather.
Looks like my only recourse now is to carefully sand the clear off the top and start over. The rest of the guitar looks great. Good thing the RG has sharp edges where it is natural for a break point. Glad I put a lot of color on it now....
