This is a simple rebuild and redesign of a vintage BTB that got sanded and refinished poorly. I never liked the body and convinced my brother to let me rebuild the body rather than fix the BTB. The neck had a small separation in the lams at the top that needed to be fixed. I refinished the neck with Tru-Oil. The body will be Tru-Oil also.
Neck : BTB Maple
Fretboard : Rosewood
Scale : 34
Frets : 24
Body : Padauk/Maple/Bloodwood
Tuners : Gotoh
Pickups : BTB Active pickups
Bridge : BTB Single bridges
Electronics : BTB Active
Finish: Tru-Oil
Template cut out.
Top joined and glued.
Body joined and glued.
Body cutout... horrible tear-out on the top horn. And the bearing collar came loose and let the router bite into the body in 2 places. I hate routers...
