I think I will call mine Degüello

Headstocks sanded out and edges of the bodies fixed up. These are northern ash. They are stupid heavy but should sound like a freight train rolling down the tracks. I had an 81 MIJ squier that I miss... never should have sold it.

Necks are a little wider than standard tele necks so I widened the neck pocket. Had to rig a template setup. It has been a long time since I built any bolt on necks...

One unfretted neck becomes a fretted neck... now repeat 3 times. While these look like teles they really are not... they are shreader necks bolted to tele bodies. 16 in radius, jumbo frets, and a trapezoid profile that would make John 5 happy.

Super Destroyer

7_B gets a lot of attention

The 7_B (S907 Prototype) got a lot of attention this weekend by a few guitarists. Do to the response I am going to start on the 6 string prototypes much sooner than expected. This should be very exciting...

Spent the weekend installing pickups

So it was a busy weekend. Wednesday night I started winding 2 sets of Diablo Humbuckers. Assembled them Thursday night. Potted them Friday. Installed them Saturday...

Made the PRS and the Carvin sound considerably better. As everyone knows I am not a fan of PRS or their hijinx. I have no idea why they build pickups like they do. To be such a classic guitar you would think that they would follow form (Seth Lover style) but they definitely do not. The Dragon Treble bridge pickup measured 17.2K... That is hot for any type of pickup. The magnet is turned the wrong way... having south towards neck and north towards bridge identical to the neck pickup. This requires them to flop the phase in the 5-way rotary switch... strange indeed.

I did get some sanding done on current 7 string projects and ebony bobbins made for a multiscale. Updates will come this week as I gear up for tele weekend.
